What to Expect at Your Hematology Visit

Learn more from Dr. John Kessler, one of VOA's experienced hematologists, about what to expect during your first hematology visit.

VOA participates in annual hematology meetings and continuing medical education (CME) activities, as well as ongoing training and mentorships. Our physicians partner with Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) to assist in the education of young doctors in the field of Hematology via classroom lectures and on-the-job training in the office/hospital. VOA also works closely with the Children’s of the King's Daughters (CHKD) hematology program, allowing children the best continuity of care as they move from a pediatric to an adult hematologist
